D502
Dinky 502 Foden Flat Truck. Excellent plus/boxed. Scarce 1st issue in burnt orange and green.
Notes
In all original condition, this rare colour version was issued from 1948. 1st type has a distinctive burnt orange finish, bright mid-green back and flash, matching early ridged wheels and fine tread black radial tyres (looking as-new). Tank slits and no chain post bosses. Shiny and fresh original paint finish so this example displays well, in spite of the little chips at roof edge (occasional small mark besides).
Bright metal parts (and that includes the axle ends) and a glowing paint finish with an appealing lustre.
20 mph transfer is still in place.
The blue picture box shows the* first type cab variation*. Paper label is brightly coloured and complete. Minor age/handling wear and a period (U.S) price in red at a lid end. Original owner has written his name at the lid end. Bright staples.
An honest, scarce early Foden which displays well.
