Notes
In all original condition throughout, this Commer Breakdown Truck has a light tan cab, mid green back, red hubs, black lettering, well-formed original smooth black tyres. Early issue without window glazing. In close to mint condition – complete with a working tow hook. Perfect “DINKY SERVICE” lettering in black on one side (rather rubbed on the other), very bright winding handle and cuff, shiny baseplate.
None of the usual marks at exposed edges, save for a couple of easily overlooked little marks. None of the usual paint flaking to the tinplate jib either!
The yellow picture box is most attractive with vivid, fresh colours, shiny staples and no splits. Tiny wear and a little shelf rubbing to the deep purple-blue box base underside. Dated 1957 from the Dinky stamp inside the box lid.
