D40J
Dinky 40J Austin A40 Somerset. Red version. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce 40J box! From a private collection of Dinky and Corgi models, mostly purchased during the early 1980's at U.K. auction houses.
Notes
This model with the early numbering has such a vibrant red paint finish with matching wheels. Bright baseplate, smooth running original tyres. Lovely lustre. Occasional tiny rub/tiny mark. No scuff on the roof, and no colour fading either! 40J on base.
The scarce early 40J box is bright and complete, with the correct colour spot at an end flap. A little age/storage wear (e.g.at an end flap edge), but no tears or graffiti.
Not an easy find.
