D157
Dinky 157 Jaguar XK120 Coupe. Grey/green. Spun wheel issue. Very near mint/in SCARCE SPUN WHEEL pictured box. From The Reference Collection of high quality Dinky models compiled in The U.K.
Notes
A desirable Dinky car with a sleek grey-green finish, rare with shining spun wheels, shiny baseplate. Outstanding fresh condition throughout. As-new original tyres run well.
If you want to fault it, you could note the tiny paint bubbles on the roof and there are a few thin light scratches on the baseplate. Couple of mere dots besides.
The scarce card box with spun wheel version pictured is the correct late pale yellow colour and has the correct colour spot at the end flaps. Complete and quite crisp, with a little age grubbiness and a small repair to the tuck in part of one large end flap. Little tear to another.
An unusual variation – hard to find in any condition.
