D512
Dinky 512 Guy Flat Truck. Second issue in light blue and red. Very near mint/boxed. From a private collection of Dinky and Corgi models, mostly purchased during the early 1980's at U.K. auction houses.
Notes
A fine, all original 2nd type example (triangular lugs next to the number plate), made between 1954-56 with ridged wheels, and large painted hook. A beautiful lustrous paint finish in distinctive light blue and red with light blue wheels.
Not even a trace of a rub on the roof and the as-new original tyres run well.
Bright base with bolt-fixed spare wheel.
A rare find in this condition, with just a couple of little marks at the tow hook. Couple of tiny dots besides.
The striped Dinky Toys box is clean and vividly-coloured with no splits or tears to the paper. Period price and shopkeeper’s penned numbering of the model (later re-numbering).
