FD898
French Dinky 898 Berliet Tractor with Transformer on an Articulated Trailer. Excellent plus-near mint/boxed. From a private collection of Dinky and Corgi models, mostly purchased during the early 1980's at U.K. auction houses.
Notes
Always an impressive and desirable French Dinky Berliet model made between 1961-65. This model has a bright orange finish, yellow metal concave wheels, two spare tyres stowed behind the cab, window glazing.
With an excellent-near mint original paint finish throughout (some unavoidable marks where the two components are attached). Two little transfers have been added to the rear drop-down ramps and minute scrutiny reveals a few little touch-ins at the occasional exposed edge.
The transformer (FD833) is assembled, and notably complete with all of the small plug-in parts.
Inner card packing is still present and looks fresh and tear-free. ‘Transfo’ written in pen on the card packing piece.
The large striped Dinky Supertoys box is bright, and fresh. Minor age wear only. No punctures. Slight sun fading to one short end of the lid. Penned date written at a lid end.
Dinky stamp‘Meccano Controle’ on the inside of the lid.
