D919
Dinky 919 Guy Van "Golden Shred". Near mint plus/boxed. Scarce. From a private collection of Dinky and Corgi models, mostly purchased during the early 1980's at U.K. auction houses.
Notes
Issued between 1957-58, the golden age of Dinky! This is one of the most eye-catching Dinky models you can buy. A delightful and scarce Guy Van. This sought-after van has a lustrous red paint finish throughout and perfect, highly decorative transfers on both sides. Not even a trace of sunfading! This model has been carefully handled and stored, so retaining its lustre and protecting those delicate transfers).
Bright base and smooth-running original tyres.
A couple fo little casting marks.
Upon the most minute and painstaking scrutiny (always necessary with these high profile Dinky vans unfortunately), you may be able to see a few pinprick retouches ( at a couple of wheel arches and above the rear doors).
The box is complete, vividly-coloured and intact, with no splits or repairs. Minor edge rubbing and minor handling wear besides.
A beautiful addition to your Dinky collection!
