D931
Dinky 931 Leyland Comet Lorry. Violet blue, deep yellow back. Very, very near mint/boxed. Dated 1954.
Notes
This Dinky classic truck has a gleaming bright, all original violet blue and orange-yellow paint finish and red grooved supertoy wheels.
Not often seen this nice!
Bright baseplate, too.
If you peer really closely you can find a negligible mark or two ( you generally can if you look long enough!). Stray dot of factory silver near the front bumper. Minor marking to a couple of the tyres, can be improved with a further careful clean.
Lovely lustre shows that this truck has been rarely handled and carefully stored.
The scarce dual-numbered box (marking the transition from 531 to 931 in 1954) is very bright and fresh with barely any wear at all. Some rusting at the staples and a little crease as well as a tiny corner crush to the lid. No splits or graffiti. Vibrant blue base is completely unfaded and virtually pristine!
