D955
Dinky 955 Commer Fire Engine. Excellent plus/boxed with packing. Early issue without window glazing. Bright, clean box!
Notes
A classic Dinky model. Vibrant original red paint finish throughout, gleaming silver two-piece ladder and shiny bells on the roof.
This fire engine has a couple of the usual unavoidable marks at the raised points where the ladders rest and a little edge chipping toward the rear/at the rear , mostly on one side. Original copper fixing clip for the ladders is still in place.
Minor tarnishing on the base and some axle ends would benefit from a careful clean.
The striped ‘Dinky Toys’ box is very bright, complete with the original card packing piece. Only the most minor wear, including rusting to the staples.
None of the usual fading – especially noteworthy is the vivid colour of the base. No shelf rubbing to the box lid or base either. Period shopkeeper’s label of 7/6 on the lid.
