Notes
Such an attractive item from Dinky – made between 1959-64. This particular model is dated from 1960 (Dinky stamp on the inside of the box lid). The model is in two-tone yellow and orange and has just a few little chips at some exposed edges. One little dab of extra yellow paint on the cab roof. Bright baseplate. ‘Meccano’ lettering above the cab and ‘Dinky Toys’ lettering on one side are perfect. One little nick to the letter ‘K’ on the other.
The mechanism works well when the handle is turned, moving the sliding interior platforms so that goods (in this case the three pallets) may be loaded and unloaded more easily. Bright winding handle cuff.
The striped SUPERTOYS outer box is complete with no splits at corners. Notably, the winding handle has not punctured the box!
No graffiti. Small area of surface loss on one side of the lid. Little handling/edge wear.
