M52M
Minic 52M Single Deck 'Green Line' London Transport Bus. Rare pre-war example from 1936. Near mint/not boxed. From a lifelong collector in Devon.
Notes
One of the best examples you will ever see of this scarce pre-war Minic tinplate single deck bus. In all original condition, finished in two tone green (correct that the top half is a subtle shade lighter) with wooden seating.
Issued during 1936, this example displays well. Measures approx. 18.5cms. in length. Shiny wheels, white tyres (one has a few little flat spots), number plate AYV 604 at the rear. Generally shiny tinplate radiator and headlight assembly. ‘DORKING" destination label. Complete ’Green Line’ and ‘London Transport’ lettering in gold with a black outline on both sides. Working motor. Delightful delicate period ‘BISTO’ transfer at the rear!
A little minor age wear consistent with age e.g. couple of rust spots, occasional little mark.
A rare find – and particularly difficult to find this good.
